For more than two decades, the Brendan Grant Foundation has provided significant support for the on-going stewardship of the softball and baseball fields in Belmont MA. The flagship efforts have involved the Brendan Grant Memorial Field, home of Belmont High School Varsity Baseball. From 2001 - 2007 more than $1M was put into the rebuilding of the field at no cost to taxpayers through significant in-kind and direct contributions. A dedication ceremony held in 2007 commemorated this enormous volunteer effort. In 2019 construction started on the new Belmont Middle & High School., with the baseball/softball fields moved to a new location. The re-dedication in 2024 commemorates this latest new field re-building effort.
The Belmont Baseball Team was formally welcomed to their new home field after spending the last several years without one during the Belmont High School Building Project.
