Friday & Saturday, 18 & 19 November 2011:  The legendary Great Pretenders held their "one last time" final reunion shows on Friday and Saturday, 18 & 19 November 2011.  The full length DVD of the event is now available, and it is a must see for every Great Pretender fan.  The more intimate Friday night crowd of approximately 300 saw a great show, as did the 400-plus crowd on Saturday that used every possible seat.  Each evening opened at about 8:15 pm with two show sets.   The event was held at the Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, MA, which is known for its breath-taking view of the metro Boston area.  More details and a full story are available by clicking here. 

Sunday, 16 October 2011:  The Ninth Annual Brendan Grant Golf Tournament was held on Sunday 16 October 2011, with a tee-off time of 1:00 pm and a Florida best ball format.  The event was once again held at Southers Marsh Golf Course in Plymouth, MA.  The full story can be found by clicking here.

Sunday, 19 June 2011:  The Tenth Annual running of "Brendan's Home RunTM" 5K Race & Walk was held on Father's Day 19 June 2011 at the Belmont High School track.  Click here for the full story, pictures, and race results.  The course used for Brendan's Home Run is certified by the USA Track & Field Road Running Technical Council (Certification Code: MA03028RN).

31 May 2011:  The Tenth Annual Brendan Grant Scholarships awarded at the Senior Assembly at Belmont High School, Belmont, MA to the following three graduating 2011 Seniors: Michael Vona, Emma Brown, and Ivan Lozano.  Click here for the full story and photo. 

Friday-Saturday, 27-28 May 2011: 
The Seventh Annual Brendan Grant Memorial Baseball Tournament was held over the beginning of the 2011 Memorial Day weekend at the Brendan Grant Memorial Field.  This four game high school tournament continues to be a thrill on the Brendan Grant Memorial Field located next to Belmont High School, and this year's champion was the Austin Prep squad.   Click here for the full story and pictures of the 2011 tournament.

13/Mar, 20/Mar, 27/Mar, 4/Apr, 10/Apr & 17 April 20
11:  The Belmont Marauders Baseball Camp was held for boys and girls ages 5  to 15 on six consecutive Sundays at the Belmont High School Field House from 13 March to 17 April 2011 to help young ball players sharpen their baseball skills.  This camp is now its third full decade of service to the youth of Belmont, and proceeds help to support the Marauder Baseball Program and to defray the costs of the annual Brendan Grant Memorial Weekend Baseball Tournament.  The age groups were divided into the following age brackets: Ages 5-7 from 8:00 am to 9:00 am; Ages 8-10 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am; Ages 11-12 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am; and Ages 13-15 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  The focus was for the younger players (5-10) to work on basic skills, while the older players (11-15) focused more on hitting.  A program flyer with additional information is available for the 5 -10 year olds and for the 11-15 year olds

Saturday, 8 January 20
11:  The Tenth Annual Brendan Grant Wrestling Tournament was held at Belmont High School on Saturday 8 January 2011.  It was another successful tournament with sixteen high school wrestling teams competing during this all day tournament.  Click here for the full story.  Previously referred to as the Belmont Invitational Wrestling Tournament, for the last 30 years this event has become one of the classic High School Wrestling gatherings of its kind in the Northeast region with approximately 500 to 600 attendees throughout the day. During the 1999-2000 season, Brendan was one of the Captains of the Belmont High School Wrestling Team.
